Here we have some concept drawings, mainly traced and some freehand of the Cartoon Character - Courage The Cowardly Dog. The whole cartoon series is very fun to watch and enjoyable for almost all audiences young and old. The Cartoon is very comical and has a great way to portray scary but hilarious scenes where courage expresses so many emotions. I coloured Courage in his normal colour scheme using pastels, Dark markers and colouring pencils. I tried to make the concept sketches at the bottom realistic with shading and shadowing.
The Very top image here is a Storyboard of Spiderman and a good professional example of high quality and detailed characters that I choose to aspire to achieve. The character designs are very good and give a pre-visualisation of what the comic can turn out to be. Subtitles are also used to illustrate conversation and progress the story informing the reader as it goes along.
The third image here is a storyboard I completed in 1 lesson. It is simply Courage the Cowardly Dog sat alone in the Attic of his farm house whereby he is accompanied by his evil shadow that appears behind him on the wall and Courage's reaction is very amusing as he freaks out at the sight of the evil looking shadow.
The second image above is some research on Courage the cowardly dog and on the creator/maker of the TV show. Their is his history and details of what he's created and found in the making of Courage the cowardly dog episodes. I have also tried to colour Courage in different colours like - Orange, Neon Blue, Red and Green. To be honest I feel the purple that Courage is already been given is my favourite and wouldn't really change it as it is my favourite colour. If I was to choose one of the other colours I would most probably choose the Orange as it's vibrant and eccentric. Cartoon Network broadcasts Courage the cowardly dog and have several re-runs and marathons dedicated to the TV show.
