3D Max Practice Model - Robot Attempt

Here we see my first real attempt at creating a robot figure using 3D Max. It was quite time consuming but fun & interesting. I learnt how to take standard primatives such as the Sphere for the Head and boxes for the torso are. Assigning editable meshes to the standard primatives made it so I could clearly see the egded faces. I extruded the polygons to manipulate the shapes and forms of the primative shapes. I used Tubes for the arms and then Used a feature that allowed me to bend them in order to make them look a little more fitting to the figure. I duplicated the arms and legs which made it easy for me to have an accurate copy of body features. This lesson gave me an insight into how long these modellings take. Vertex To give a rough estimation on how long it would take, it could possibly take me 5 - 10 hours to finish of a robot model with average features. Its a real skill and i admire those that produce realistic pieces of modelling.
