Experimenting with 3D Environoments Unit 66
I have started to experiment with different environments. I have focused on a certain type of architecture - Gothic, Victorian, a bit tudor and just generally very old styles of architecture. The reason I chose to concentrate on these particualr styles of architecture is because the designs are easliy noticeable/historic. These environments have great natural qualities, aged textures and colours.
I have used sources from the internet but these will be considered as secondary sources, I have used more primary methods of collecting sources for my moodboard. For my primary sources I took pictures around Skipton Castle on the weekend to gather various shots of the natural environment and surroundings as there were so many various textures, materials and colours. I also scanned through Edge Magazines to find relavant images of environments (these images can be seen at the top right of my moodboard). I created this moodboard to inspire new and innovative ideas for creating and texturing my own environments.
This is a moodboard I have made to illustrate various types of buildings and structures relating to the type of architecture I'm experimenting with. This mood board should give an idea of what I intend on using for my games trailer environments development. To further explore and research these types of environments I have selected one of these images within my moodboard.
I decided to use A3 sized paper to sketch my chosen image and then divided the image into 4 segments whereby i'd experiment with in each segment with various colouring pencils, chalks, pencils and pens.
