Architecture

In todays lesson I researched different architectural environments. I mainly focused on Underwater environments whereby there are structures and wildlife. Keeping in mind that my Game trailer will involve an underwater base type structure. I found that aquariums came closest to the type of architecture design that I am intending to use.

It's important for me to criticaly assess the general design of the structures and how they have been formed. Aquariums are very interesting, because the material used is mainly glass but it is very strong. The architecture is also very spacious and confined at the most of times to give someone a sense of really being under water and amongst every elemant.

I have noticed that the colour blue is the primary colour used to set the underwater ocean theme. When I come to designing and texturing my envrionments I will experiment with different different shades, gradients and contrasts of this colour to really give my underwater styled environment depth. The architecture is very modern and almost futuristic like. The surrondings are clean and clear to give the full perspective of the natural environment.

From these examples I am able to get an idea on what could and couldn't work in a game trailer. These architectural designs have given me ideas and ways to construct a realistic under water environment that would be appropriate for my game trailer.
